Able to enter small portals to the Nether world, the player guides the metallic sidekick through a maze-like environment using a unique gravity mechanic to shift him from floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall. The developers at Insomniac Games also introduce a new 2D puzzle element specific to Clank. The Jet Pack opens up the verticality of the world, while the Grav Tether creates portals for Ratchet to help complete a variety of platforming sections. While many of the mechanics the series is known for make a repeat appearance – hover boots, swing shot – a few new toys come into play that helps 'Into the Nexus' feel like an interesting new entry rather than a repeat of prior episodes.

In addition to fighting opponents, players must use their minds to solve puzzles in dangerous mazes and collect bolts to defeat enemies. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is the next game enhanced with new weapons and players can choose those weapons to compete in the game. Similar to other games in the series, players will control the character along with 3 other supporting characters to join the match. Therefore, right after the release of the game, it has received a lot of praise from critics about the gameplay and graphics in the game. The game is graphics in the context of open space and superspace of planets in the world. This is the fourth and is also the last game in the series “Future” in Ratchet & Clank.
